How long did it take them to do? And did they give you a loaner?

My wife dropped the car off at 8am and they were done before lunch. She did get a loaner.

I know you guys were worried, just thought I'd update you haha.

Got my lights replaced… took around six hours total for them to do it. They said it was the first time they had done that TSB so it was a little slower process.

Also, my LED fogs just came off of backorder at Sewell and I got shipping confirmation. Yesterday was a good day.

Do the lights have an improved design or upgraded part to avoid the wrinkling/bubbling?

The strip that was bubbling was matte black. It's now reflective silver, but I've read that these ones will do it eventually too. We'll see though.

I am having the same slight bubbling/wrinkling in my 2011- do they replace them with newer model 2012/2013 headlights (which I think have a brighter led strip) or is it just "corrected" 2011 model lights.

I would love to get the brighter LED lights..

EDIT: questioning whether the 2012/2013 headlights actually had a "brighter" LED strip.....I know I read it here somewhere.

The headlights they put in are the 2012 models. I'm pretty sure the actual lamps are a different temp, but I didn't notice anything on the LED strip.

They'll fix it (technically they have to) just take in the TSB link I posted so they know exactly what to do. My dealer hadn't seen that TSB yet, so they had no idea what I was talking about on the phone.

Either the original owner of my IS-F got it done or the my 2012 was assembled after the issue was came up cause my headlight does not have the flat black.

I recently just got my headlamps replaced, but it seems that the lights look positioned pretty low/down... is that normal - the driver side is pointed lower then the passenger on the road.

I have driven the new es350 and it looks a lot higher on the road vs my headlamps

Drivers side should be pointed slightly lower than passenger to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. But if they significantly lower overall, you should probably realign them if possible (not sure if there are adjustment screws).

Should I have the dealer do this or can it be done myself easily?
