Need a good paint and body shop in So Cal
I took my front bumper off a few months back to have the wald half bumper molded to the factory bumper. I was told by the body shop (whom I have used in the past for other vehicles) that they would need 2-3 weeks to mold and paint the bumper. After several months of my car sitting in my garage missing a bumper I have decided to pick up my bumper and take this project elsewhere.
Anyone have suggestions? I know a few good shops for paint but the shops I'm aware of don't really do custom work. Pretty much collision repair is their main business.

Do NOT go to Fix Auto in Oceanside. They were recommended by my insurance company and did a great job on my roommate's Gen coupe after a side impact.
However, I am taking my car back for the third, and final time, this week so they can get the paint right. If they don't get it right this time, I will be looking for a recommendation myself.

Thank you for the suggestions. I went to pick up the bumper yesterday and they had made some progress.... im going to give the shop a couple more days then if its not ready the bumper is coming home with me and we are going to make a decision on the new shop. I really appreciate the input

I recall someone on this thread claiming that an insurance sales agent can be very influencial. Try talking to yours to see if he/she can convince your insurance company to let you take the car to another shop! That would be the most ideal resolution.
