Question How to remove/replace engine air filter for ISF ?

Does anyone have a DIY on how to remove and replace the engine air filter on the ISF ?

I searched around and couldn't find any DIY for the ISF. The user manual does not have instructions either.

I unbuckled the 2 clips holding the air filter box, but then there's no room to take out the air filter without removing other components.

Thanks.

You have to loosen up the two metal ring clips.

One is by the throttle body and the other is by the entrance to the box.

Also I disconnect the MAF plug from the electrical connection and the housing.

Then you rotate the air intake pipe up towards you (imagine a jawbridge opening)

As you do this it will separate the components and then you will have room to open up the air filter box.

If you can't figure that out you should probably take it somewhere...

It should also be noted in Canada the OEM air filter is over $55.00,....which happens to be the same cost as the aFe drop in washable filter

and you can get the Takeda intake with washable cone filter for $300 in Toronto. I'm fairly happy with mine. It makes noise as advertised. Hard to verify the gains though after the ECU adjusts.

lol don't!!! it's the easiest thing to do!!! other than swaping wheel's lugs!

OP, google INJEN cold air intake or AEM (or whoever make intake for ISF/ISX50) and go to their web site download their install instrustions....they will teach you how to remove the airbox, step by step with pictures!! from there, it's a no brainer to figure out how to open the box and repalce the air filter. good luck!

I can't post you link at work computer lol
