Its pretty well know that the 2nd gen IS has god awful projectors because of a terrible design we are stuck with it

Has anyone tried replacing their projector lens in order to help boost output? looks like STI-R lenses will fit

I think you can find some answers in the 2nd gen IS threads as I looked around a few months back. IMO, the results weren't good enough to just replace the lens to the STI-R...you need to replace the whole projector which requires quite a bit of fabrication. I'm assuming you're looking for a more blue flicker as opposed to our current yellowish. I think one guy used the stock front part of out projector with a new lens and retrofitted the back portion of a Lexus RX projector with outstanding results....but, a LOT of work involved there.
