Sounds great!

Not to thread jack, but is there any benefit of leaving in any of the cats? On the IS300 the low end torque suffered if all the cats were removed, so many people left the 2nd set in the exhaust path.

^^^^That's a great question, and one that has been addressed before on these forums. Attached are the dyno graphs of my 2008 F (with a modified dual exhaust system using stock modified mufflers), PPE headers and Hi-Flow cats. (The Green line). My friends 2008 F is equipped as the OPs with PPE, JoeZ, and no cats. As can be seen he peaks at close to 400BHP, and I'm at close to 387 BHP. But, look at the curves (both torque and BHP) you'll see that I outpull him until about 3K and we're even up to 5600RPM where he starts breathing better.

Now as far as the reason I have cats - It's a personal decision, I just think it's the right thing to do

very nice clip, thanks for sharing as I'm planning on taking the exact same route.

You're one lucky man to be able to have a Lexus Tech come over to your house and install your headers on stands, I'm considering sending my car to another country to get someone qualified enough to do the install.

I had my PPE header (injen intake, and upgraded exhaust) installed on the IS-F about 2 weeks.

I am a little disappointed in the sound in comparsion to my IS 350 PPE header (F sport intake, upgraded exhaust). The sound of IS 350 PPE header (without CAT) was just way more raw and raspy.

Anything I can do to make it sound more raspy?

What do you mean by upgraded exhaust? Did you get a custom system?

Delete the resonators and/or mufflers if they are still there and maybe you will get the sound you're looking for.
