would you guys recommend ATE superblue fluid for the brakes? had this on my last car but it seems toyota fluids are best on these cars. i dont track my car at all but i do drive hard on the streets from time to time.

some say its not needed to change diff fluid but me buying my car used, i rather know i have new fluids in the car.

Toyota Pink or red on the coolant, Motul dot 4 RBF 600 for brake, Mobil1 fully synthetic for engine. Transmission if necessary will use OEM toyota also.

Only my Supra gets the red stuff anymore, both the '06 Scion tC and the F take the pink stuff.
I have the same question as lx470, which brand is the pink coolant? Is there a specific one to purchase? I have very little experience with this stuff, so I appreciate anything you guys can tell me.

Someone told me (cannot remember if it was the stealership or the Advanced Auto person) that it has to be HOAT coolant? Hybrid Organic Acid Technology. Is this the same product as the SLLC?

Transmission - no choices - if you really want to screw up your gearbox fast, use something other than Toyota WS fluid.

Brakes - I run Brembo LCF. I bleed it before every track weekend. I've never had a problem with brake fluid when the VSC was off. If you don't track your car, just use a decent DOT 3 fluid and follow the factory recommendations - they're likely overkill anyway.

Differential - probably one of the most over-serviced items on a street car. Only really necessary if you get water in it or you drag race a lot. Choice of oil isn't nearly as important as making sure whatever oil you choose meets Lexus minimum specs. The average driver could go 300k miles with the factory fill and be fine.
^^^ This. I wish i had read this comment before draining my differential. At 75k miles, mine looked like it was just changed yesterday. Oh well, peace of mind I guess, at the cost of $25 plus $10 for the pump i got. Also the cost of the theoretical gas masks I wish i got since diff fluid smells like crap.

Apparently the technology is HOAT, but it is manufactured by Honeywell Consumer Products Group exclusively for Toyota.
