^^^^^ EPIC!!!!! How I feel in the prius

 

I purchased a 2012 in December and have received 23 "nice car mans" or some variation. :-)

 

I mainly get thumbs up and people asking me what engine it has lol.... Straight pipes gets a lot of attention from people and they always are curious to why the hell it sounds so beastly.... I haven't ran into any haters yet... All I've heard is the common fake exhaust tips but who cares... I enjoy the F every day and have the peace of mind that it's still a Toyota meaning it won't fall apart like a beemer does... My friend bought a used 2009 BMW 750i because it was only $29k but in less than amonth the driver side halos went out and the repair was $1100 so he took it straight to the dealer and traded it in for. New Chevy truck lol! My F has a 125kmile warranty so I'm good

 

I always ask them for popcorn and a soda...

 

I'm 41 years old. I haven't had a conversation like that in over 10 years.

 

Last night at a Walmart I was parked far away from the entrance for a spot at an empty area and several spots away a guy loading things into his massive HD Chev truck that was taking up four spots waves at me and hollers, "your car has a beautiful shape man!"

And the last time I went across the US border, it was... interesting.

(eyes my car up and down)
"This your car?"
-yeah.
(eyes my car up and down)
(asks me generic border guard questions, etc.... and I answer)
*eyes my car up and down*
......... "This your car?"
-yes.
(lets me go)

 

I get alotta thumbs up, "nice car", "what car is this" comments... some people like to refer to the top gear when he complained about the 8 speed in auto but never really HATING comments... overall the car gets alotta great reactions cuz its seen alot less on the streets then the m3's and amg's... i love it

 

same here, I've only gotten "nice car" comments and most of them were from mustang owners.

 

I don't really get any haters (that I'm aware of), but I also don't associate with many people who care enough to do so. I'll typically get more general questions, and if cars like the F are within the persons buying range, they already understand why I went with it (and if not, it takes little explaining).

It's only on the internet where I'll read comments along the lines of "I would've gone with X car", or "you can buy car X and dump X money to...". In the real world, people love it or stay silent if they don't, and I just tell them it's more than enough car for me to handle and it does what it has to do, very well. I enjoy it every time I drive it and I drive it as often as possible.

If the M3 thing comes up, I give it its praise, since it's part of the reason the F exist. But it's a different car for a different person. That's all there is to it.

 

none of my friends of the circle of people i consider my friends, are haters. they have all complimented the car, since most of them are car enthusiasts, too. people off the street will ask about the car, esp at gas stations or parking lots. couple times we've walked out to see a group of guys staring and inspecting my car, perhaps a little too closely haha

i've only had one moron fb "friend" comment about how lexus' are "pansy ***" cars. he drives an 07' 540i and thinks it's God's gift to the automotive world. haha

I don't yet own a ISF but will be in the near future. I can't believe how many people like m3 over a ISF.... And usually the people that like the m3 don't own one. Coz if they did they would hate all the problems that beemers have.
Can't wait to get my ISF.

A couple times, I've had m3's try to rev their engine next to me when they see my car. Then I have to roar back. lol
