Mod in Japan has them for cheaper. They're a vendor on the forums, PM them.

Make sure you guys are getting the vehicle specific harness too..

so increases throttle sensitivity but you just have to turn it off before selecting reverse ?? The price point is pretty sweet

No, because I'm in sport mode more often!

There is a harness which cancels out the throttle controller when the car goes into reverse.

Sounds like it does exactly what the sport mode button does on my E46 that I've turned on maybe 3 times lol. That Eco mode though is intriguing :P

Here is my cheaper solution for you mpg seekers: 1# get in car 2# start up car 3# put it in snow mode 4# the throttle response is now like a "Eco mode" on a aftermarket throttle controller so you will initially save even more money by not purchasing the controller, also you might as well just bought a is250 in the 1st place......

If I didn't give a **** about mpg a little I would buy a C63 or E60 M5 and enjoy a solid 16 highway if I'm lucky haha. Selling point of an ISF is I can commute with the damn thing 80 miles a day and it's hardly worse mpg than the wife's C300 but with a V8.

I haven't seen what our monthly gas bill is in 5 years. I just hear about it when the wife complains every now and then. Happy wife happy life. Need dat minimum 20mpgs haha.

I average 22 with my E46M, my convincing logic for an upgrade was that the V8 gets > or = that. If I can cheat the statistics with a stupid box I'm all for it. She won't know the difference cause the bill won't change

Does it do away with the sport/snow button (non-effective anymore)? So basically this is just accelerating the drive by wire sensor signals??

Still use the sport/snow, throttle controller is just signal changing at the pedal

Ok, makes sense, I wonder if there are any videos of this mod showing the difference in acceleration?

Really is plug 'n' play provided you buy the IS-F specific harness to go with it.

I've installed around 5 or 6 of these so far.

Maybe you have someone local that can do yours for you?

If not, budget an hour max at a shop to do the install.

cool. Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I will actually give it a shot. When I looked at the directions for the RR racing AO separator I was thinking, I can do thins. Seems simple enough. Thanks
