Almost did the unthinkable
WOWZERS there were going to give you only $30k for the IS-F?
At first I read you were buying the GS350 for $30k.....talk about a rape...haha
I got almost $25k more for my IS-F (Granted it had way more money and lower miles but still....)
GS's are overrated old people's cars ~ unless you are talking GS-F

I'm close to trade my ISF in for a 2012 C63 Coupe, I'm still working on the numbers though. Just like the OP, MB valued my car at $31,000, it's an 08 with 53.3k miles, all options except the radar cruise control. I wasn't happy with that offer but to be honest, I doubt I'll get any more than that (as a trade-in).

^Is the C63 coupe anything special? I heard they are coming out with a C63 black series wagon soon?
Never been a fan of Mercedes AMG cars as they seem to have a new facelifted version every year!
They are pretty fast no question about that but their resale value is horrible if that is important to you.

The C63 Coupe is a nice car, in and out. The Black Series version is even better (scheduled for late next year). I haven't heard anything about a Black Series Wagon, I doubt there will be one (at least not in the C Series). Resale value seems to be better on AMG cars than in my ISF, given the same year and mileage.
I'll try Carmax, but their offer will need to be at least $5,000 better than MBs, otherwise it'd be worthless. The reason is that at $31k I'm saving around $3,000 in taxes if I trade my car in, and on top of that MB is giving me a $2k bonus discount for switching from Lexus (or BMW) to them.
