I had the touchscreen problem so prior to taking the car to the dealer I reversed the DVD hack, and after the ML unit was fixed I hacked the unit again. Everything is working great.

Is this the best way to bypass the Navi unit? Or are there better plug and play kits out there?

Is there a temporary bypass like hitting the menu them the corner and so on thanks

If there was a button on the NAV screen that would do the job. Do you think people would spend all day removing the radio and cutting the wiring on their car?

I think he's referring to the the "invisible" touch area to access sub menus, as many cars have.
