I've noticed in pictures of IS-F's from other parts of the world, the third brake light lens is clear. Anyone know if it's possible to get this in North America?

Could the angle of the picuture make it look clear when its really red? Is it documented anywhere that it is clear? Looks dope if it is clear.

You could make a clear one from a piece of plastic. I've done it on another car.
That leads to the question - Are the third brake light LEDs white or red?

I think the ISF should have had a lower mounted 3rd brake light like the ISx50s ... Looks better IMO...

But for people with tinted rear windows... the color or even height isn't really a problem... People can't even see it!

I agree completely. When I look in the rear view mirror, I always get a sense that it's a third headrest. I know a few have moved it higher up near the roof lining so that it would not interfere with rear visibility.

We now have a World's 1st USDM Lexus IS-F with a JDM / Euro Spec Clear 3rd Brake Light..

Probably the EASIEST 2 minute JDM mod I have ever done..

The top portion snaps off & unplugs in seconds..

I'm interested based on cost as well.
Can the pedestals be eliminated to have the light flush like the ISx50 version? Or maybe just use the ISX50 version if it is available clear. I don't care for the raised assembly either. Why did they make it raised on the F? The only thing I can think of is due to the lip spoiler but that isn't a good enough reason since ISx50 has that option.

It's raised to clear the Trunk Spoiler...

The reg IS's with Spoilers from the factory are also raised on a different type of housings as well..
