Mine (in black CF) should be coming in within a week. I'm really excited to get this installed, since I had to wait through a 1 month backorder. I'll definitely disconnect the battery as a precaution. It only takes 2-3 minutes to reset my seat / mirror memory and to recalibrate the windows.

That reminds me of the headrest vinyl decals back from our M3forum days....I think it would look okay, but would still be a little tacky and wouldn't have the 3D look.

I'll be transplanting the F logo from my rear seat tray to the steering wheel, and I ordered this to put on the rear seat tray:

Thanks S4..now that I have driven and used the wheel for couple of weeks now, I can honestly say that it is thicker than the OEM wheel at 9 and 3 o'clock. Overall grip sensation is superb and very sporty.
I have not handled an M3 steering, FYI. But I reckon it would be similar.

I hate the silver CF anyways - so odd looking IMO.

So how much thicker is this wheel? Is it the same as the e92 m3's? The BMW wheel feels amazing, wonder why Lexus couldn't do this?

^^ The M3 wheel definitely feels more significant in the hand, since it's rim is thicker all around. And there's something about the type of supple leather BMW uses that compliments the thick rim so well.

Anyway, my black CF flat bottom steering wheel should be shipping out this week from Sewell. Goodness I hate waiting........
