Hi everyone, just purchased 17" Rota Grid wheels 17 x 8 offset 35, and Mickey Thompson ET street R drag radials 245/45/17, saving 10 lbs ea wheel. heading to the drag-strip some time next week as my best time on street tires was 12.39 sec.

We will soon see if they fit. Today I ordered VMS Racing Street Drag Race Milled Black Wheels (17x10 54 Offset 5x114.3) as well as 275/40R17 Mickey Thompson ET Street R tires. I really hope they fit. If they don't I shouldn't have an issue selling them locally since there are a million 2015-2019 Mustangs out there. If they do fit, I'll be heading to Capitol Raceway again on Friday to see if I can hook up after swapping in a GS350 diff recently. Last Friday the 275/35R18 RE-71Rs weren't up to the task. I had major traction issues in 1st and 2nd on all but one pass when I babied it off the line to a 12.5 @118mph.
Wheels and tires arrived today. I test fit the wheels on both sides and they fit!!! It is a close fit with the caliper...probably only 3mm clearance at the closest point. I'll get the tires mounted tomorrow.
Finally an inexpensive wheel with the proper offset for the ISF!!!
I plan to head back to Capitol Raceway tomorrow to see what I can do with DRs and the GS350 diff. After that I will likely swap my stock diff (w/ OS Giken) back in and see how that does with DRs. I'm hoping I can solidly hit 11s (likely with the stock gears) before I park her for the winter.
UPDATE: Results below on a night with a fantastic DA.
You def have more tire than you need. I have Nitto 555Rs, and don’t spin at all with them. Traction will not be an issue for you. Good luck on 11s. I have come close, but can’t shave off the last quarter second so far.
