You have a very "USA centric" point of view. Vredestein is one of the worlds largest suppliers of tires. In Europe they are everywhere and very highly regarded. They are just not widely distributed in the US.

Tires came in and I had them mounted. They are big tires, wider for the same "size" in the front than the Sessanta and the rears at 285 are huge! A few pics.

First: Sessantas with 28,000 miles on them (rear):

New Vorti's in 245/285: NOTE: The fronts (top two) and rears (bottom two) have a slightly different tread pattern.

285 is a Big tire on a 9" wheel, I wouldn't go any bigger.

More pics of them on the car later.

Traction on these are GREAT! having more meat in the back really helps launches and the breaking is awesome. No squirm for a brand new tire, I am surprised.

From that very last pic, the 9 inch is pretty small for the 285, but it definitely does fit well, as I've seen others use that same tire size. The Vreds do have a great balance of price and performance. Definitely post a rear shot when you get the chance.

As they have broken in they just get better and better. Improved ride and quiet over the Sessanta and traction is great. Very pleased. $1169 installed out the door.
