hmmm I like my KN, but this design seems promising! It wont be as loud as the KN, but it should have a nice deep tone from the cone filter + stock air box

Its a nice design and a lot more effective at keeping the hot engine bay air out of the intake. But having to utilize the stock air box and cramming a large air filter in there, I wonder if that's going to make the restictive factor the stock airbox itself? I mean the volume of air in the stock airbox is limited and this just seems to make it even less.

I think the aFe ProS Dry pannel filter (equivalent to Tom's) sells for $54. So more of a savings.

no one has proven their claim yet just like K&N they claimed to get 29 or something hp but it was more like half of their claim..

Any modern day normally aspirated production car that can get an additional 26.5 hp and 37.5 ft. lbs of torque by boltig on an intake of ANY kind would be amazing, but it ain't going to happen.

If an exhaust like the Joe Z adds 29 hp I don't see it happening with an intake alone.

Very clever design, but isn't that cone air filter too small? Maybe they had to do it that small to fit inside the stock air box.

I haven't seen that great of gains except on forced induction cars, not on naturally aspirated cars. However, the gains made by JoeZ Exhaust on the F is also somewhat atypical in the sense that they are also more in line with forced induction cars. In that regard, this shows that the F is really restricted from the factory. I mean if the JoeZ Exhaust yields almost 30RWHP, it maybe possible all these intakes that are hitting the market and most of them saying they yield 20+RWHP are true because our V8 needs to "Breath and Exhale" properly, because the F has not been tuned to max performance by the factory. Once again, this is all theory until someone that is completely stock puts on one of these intakes, straps their car on a dyno after driving it for 200+ miles so the ECU adapts to the increase airflow, and gives us some unbiased numbers. I still think the factory airbox "dual intake" design is nothing more than a way for the factory to tune the car for sound and luxury reasons (So it's not so loud in the lower cruising RPM's), not really for performance...it does keep out the hot air, but still fairly restrictive due to the size compared to what our 5.0 liter V8 needs. I have yet to hear anyone explain how the dual intake design actually increase performance. If someone can, please enlighten me...Darshana S...

I really think this intake is clever in design! I will volunteer to dyno test this intake if anyone who has already purchased one is willing to send it to me for 2-3 weeks. I will independently test it out as I have done my other intake and exhaust tests. No BS!

Ha! I'll buy one when you get yourself into an F.

No, but in all seriousness I just don't want to go out and buy yet another intake without testing it first. Been there done that too many times, then when/if the results are not great it's hard to get your money back when you sell it. Plus dont' forget dyno testing isnt' cheap either. $100 for a new baseline then another $100 for the intake test.

I'll agree to your idea if you pay for shipping back to me and I'll pay for shipping to you. Let me know as I'm curious what the real results would be and I'm probably not going to have it done.
