As I was driving to work this morning my sound system went silent. Everything is factory and no mods have ever been made or attempted. I thought it was a scratched CD but found out it wasnt because the radio was also silent. The beeping of the monitor was also silent. When I pulled into the parking structure at work I turned off the car and re-started it and the sound came back.

Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Had my head unit replaced around 15k miles because DVD/CD playback was inop, and the service guy told me that there has been some trouble with this system in the IS-F


Could be a fuse, but you might want to look into taking care of it under the warranty

 

It happened once when I had my IS350. Mine actually says "Check System" on the navigation screen when I go to radio or CD/DVD. But the nav worked fine.
