It's also wrapped. It's done in 3 pieces due to the shape of it.

You just use soap/water to clean it off. I guess time will tell in regards to how it'll last with sunlight exposure. Luckily I rarely park it out in the sun for any long periods of time.

The material looks great. I thought they were supposed to introduce a gloss version at SEMA?

Not sure if I'm sold on using fake CF yet. But it's def. a nice alternative that's reversible.

I have had it on for a month or so. It has held up nice to the heat and washing it is the same. I had bird crap on it and wiped right off. To me when I see the black glossy roof on a white car it reminds me of a scion. I just wanted something different that I have yet to see on an F. Of course now a lot more people are getting it done. And when that happens I can easily take it off. and try something else if need be.

Well, if that is how you think then whatever makes you feel better. Lexus never made an option for a CF roof and I doubt you are willing to cut up your car for a real "cf roof". If you want real CF then pay someone to professionally do it, you can DIY if you know how. It's not that hard. It will look a lot better and be up to par with the car BUT that is just my opinion.

Well the real benefit of using carbon is to reduce weight right? So if all you're doing is overlaying CF instead of replacing parts, you're adding weight instead. That's not "ricer"? At least with this wrap, it's thin and I just consider it as a sort of paint protection for my roof.

And yes, I would be willing to cut up my roof, get rid of the sunroof, and install a real CF roof if one was available. I'm not going to get one custom made because the cost would be enormous to be the first. I rather wait until a company offers a CF roof and then get it done. And as far as looking better, I doubt it. This vinyl looks amazing up close.

If you want CF, spend the money and get it covered... I can hear it already, "What if I just want it for now and later I want to take it off"
agreed. i have my roof and window trims wrapped with a black glossy vinyl.

id agree. there's tasteful modding, then theres overdoing the whole damn thing. CF wrap on everything makes it look a lil tacky IMO. not a fan of the M3 to begin with, but i did like their body moldings. the CF wrap took away from it too
