Being a stock IS F at @ SEMA has no bearing on how the parts fit. That really doesn't change the fitment and quality of the parts. Clearcoat doesn't change the characteristics of the part itself as well. Just curious, but why are you having a body shop shoot another coat of clear?
Glad your experience is great. I can't say so much for the ones i've seen on my friend's cars. Their c/f parts don't fit well and the acrylic is yellowing making the c/f look green and that's after the parts have been sprayed with an additional clearcoat for protection. That's definitely not something I would put on my $62k Lexus.
Im having a body shop clear it first because i heard the "Urban Legend" that if CF parts dont get cleared first, they tend to turn yellow, and i have seen numerous hoods, trunks, and hatchs turn yellow and when i asked if they got it cleared first, they said no...
In no way was i trying to argue or start any drama but just trying to state my point too
I agree about not putting that on a $62k Lexus but all of my CF parts have been on my car for either over/almost a year and have not had any problems from yellowing after i got them cleared.
Looks like we've got three potential buyers already! How many does Seibon need to begin production - 20? Let me know what I need to do to get this thing moving.
