Default Installed K&N intake yesterday!!!

Install was pretty easy about 1 hour, I do this stuff for a living, so kind of use to following directions...lol...(In all actuality, a good auto technician is just better at reading directions than the general public ) I have installed up wards of 100 K&N intakes on customers vehicles, and all I can say is this one seems to have produced the best power gain yet! In manual mode the shift from first to second results in a long and pronounced screech from the tires, and if you have the ***** to do it the shift from second to third leaves distinct black marks on the pavement behind you visible in the rear view, (But no noise unfortunately The noise the engine omits is simply AMAZING! It sounds like a full on race engine with this thing on it! The only down side is you can feel the resonance in the higher rpm's in the steering wheel and the accelerator pedal, now you know why Lexus puts a resonator on their intakes... But in conclusion, this thing makes a very noticeable difference, and the sound ain't bad either!

I also installed mine yesterday. Pretty easy except they forgot about 7 washers, but used my own and it works. I am very pleased, I have had CAI before on cars and this one sounds better, of course it is because of the v8 engine making it sound more aggressive than the v6 or 4 cyl motors. The acceleration seems more quick as well. Over all I am very pleased with the new intake. I was using joe-z pipe and tom's filter before FYI.

Love the K and N in my car, not trying to bash but I guarantee, joe z intake with drop in filter cant compare, just the sound alone will blow it away......

Awesome, my K&N will be here tomorrow! I can't wait to install and drive. FYI, Clark from VIP is selling them cheaper than the GB. ;o) Cheers.

I installed my K&N on tues. I must say...It sounds amazing. during normal driving it sounds quite as if it was stock. but step on the gas and you unleash a monster. every one who has seen it thinks the sound is perfect. I installed it my self. easy instructions took an hour and a half total( and I'm not a car guru )

I also put in a K&N intake last month and the sound is awesome. I dont have any aftermarket exhaust but the noise on this intake is beautiful. For those of you who dont have it, I would buy one.

All,

I concur with BlackISF. I just installed the K&N Typhoon an hour ago and my car is totally night and day. I took the car for a test drive (after letting it idle for 15 mins) and OMG it's like driving it for the first time all over again. I drove the car in auto and I could feel a difference immediately. When I got out of my neighborhood I put the car in manual and it was like unleashing a BEAST! I took the car on the highway so I could open it up and all I could hear was air being sucked into the Typhoon and of course the JoeZ exhaust! My car was flying and I still had a lot of pedal left. Lucky me, I found a Cobra sitting at the light on my way home. We looked at each other, the light turned green and I left him sitting there holding his nuts! Seriously, if you are thinking about purchasing this product I HIGHLY recommend it! If you have any questions let me know.

Cheers,

Rachael
