agree. i wish the is-f have adjustment on the dampening. m3 is nice coz' with edc you can get the car to ride smooth or really stiff

With regards to tire mileage, I think they would last between 10,000-12,000 miles with not a lot of aggressive driving

I'm responding to your PM shortly

I'm going on 13k miles and my tires are juicy for tread........I don't do burnouts or track, and I drive 55 to work every day without hard cornering. Why did I buy the car to begin with if all I do is drive like a little biatch!

8speed+IS-F=epic fail

Any tire cupping issues? All my Bimmers had major cupping after 5k miles even after getting alignment done every 6 months. What brand/size tires are on the IS-F?

Tire Size/Type-

Tire Brands-
Bridgestone Potenza, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (both built to IS F spec)

Just to put it into perspective, I also own a 2008 STI which is much softer ride compared to ISF.
ISF is quite a bit rough on uneven pavement, but great on well-paved roads.

Not sure if any owners experienced this... but after the break-in period, I noticed that the suspension kinda settled in and it got more bouncy than before. I came from a 350z and I always prefer a stiff ride, so no complaints here; However, it can be a bit unsettling for the passengers. I do wish for adjustable damping controls.

I suggest a test drive on both smooth and uneven pavement so you can determine whether it fits your preference.

I had to get my fillings replaced after driving extensively in my 05 STi..........Subaru has done some nice work for their latest production if you're calling the IS-F a harsher ride.

Well said: "ISF is quite a bit rough on uneven pavement, but great on well-paved roads." In other words, it's great if you are in Germany or in France but not in the USA...

Further, the stock suspension (though stiff) could be better while cornering hard in "bad" (I should say "Californian") mountain roads, the car almost sometimes loses its footing, only slightly, but that's not very safe.

I will tell you more after I get my JIC FTL-TAR coilovers installed, hopefully within a couple weeks. People have reported better comfort (it can be adjusted) and better compliance so I am looking forward to that...
