Any reason you guys would opt for DR's over just running a R comp?

Tear offs are readily available from track teams for super cheap and I've seen some of the best 60' on street cars with em. A lightweight 18x9.5 wheel and a 265/35/18 R888 is kind of where I'm thinkin I might try this summer as my baseline on a fully stock 2011.

LOL, I used R888 255/35/18s and they were fine. No issue with traction. I actually prefer them over the MT because you can actually drive on them during the summer. I used the 255 because the diameter was a little smaller than stock - the idea was to give me slightly shorter ratio since we can't get a stall for our cars.

I didn't have to lower tire pressure at all and they STUCK like glue.

Funny thing is I don't even know who made this highlight video of my runs last week. I was told by a buddy that he saw it on YouTube

That's nothing, you haven't see n the highlight rail he has of you making pizzas or getting ready for work in the morning, I think this guy really admires you

Hopefully we can get that time slip looking even better next week and next time I line up with you in the GTR I'll give you the right lane

This is well deserved, Drok149 has been putting a serious effort in to running deep in to the 11s on street tires.

For all of you guys running these 11 second passes and low 12's, are you guys running quarter tank of fuel, spare tire removed? Out of curiosity what do you guys weigh? The best I was able to do with my car with borla catback was a 13.3 with 2.1 and 2.2 60's. I also weigh 300 pounds. I was trapping 107 to 108 mph.

Are you guys that run low 12's and 11's weigh like 150 pounds? I'm just curious to know how much effect weight has on a quarter mile time.

I plan on doing a few runs this year with the headers and some stickier tires. I just hope I can touch a 12 second pass this year.

I weigh 215lbs and I do remove the spare tire and jack. That is it though.

I weigh 180ish and remove spare, floor mats, engine covers and any miscellaneous junk from my car.

Just do it! I daily drive with a 3200rpm stall in my Yukon. I love it.

So whats the actual dyno procedure for ISF's? everyone says 6th but you reach the limiter during the pull.

Manual, sport mode, mash the gas on second yellow. Def empty out your trunk next time you go that extra 200lbs in that heat will kill your time. Kiss the rev limiter on each shift as well will yield the quickest times

Like Drok said. Leave your spare, jack & owners manuals at home. Minimal fuel level.

High ambient temps. sap power from our cars. Try going when the weather's cooler (I know it's difficult when summer's just arrived & you've got the need for speed).

Arrive well rested, hydrated & with a full stomach.

And finally, practice, practice, & more practice.
