Official IS-F Drag Time/Dyno Time/Performance Thread
I hit the drag strip for the first time this year hoping to beat my previous 11.914@120.58 run made 3 years ago and was finally successful! This is not easy!!!
So my best today was 11.879@119.63. A nice tail wind, -892 DA and nailing the shifts perfectly (hitting the limiter on each shift) were the primary contributing factors. Since I ran my 11.914 run, I've also added lighter BC Racing Coilovers, Lighter Borla exhaust and slightly lighter 18" drag wheels utilizing the same 245/40/18 MT Street ET tires.
I had a great 1.827 60' this time, though I was able to hit a 1.826 last year. Trap speed was incredible today! I managed several 121 mph runs with my best of 121.46. I also had the pleasure of running a Camaro ZL1 (mods unknown), the new C7 Vette (mods unknown) as well as an E63 AMG with headers, exhaust and drag radials. One of the close runs between the E63 and I resulted in a 1.870 60' to his 1.874 and a 12.027@121.04 to his 11.850@120.08. Basically each time we ran whoever got off the line soonest won the race. It was that close.
A few videos and time slips are posted below.

All these times including the zl1 and the new vette seem really fast compared to what they are supposed to run...unless of course they are modded. Either way your runs in the F are awesome!

Thanks and yes everyone was running strong with an almost -900 Density Altitude. I believe the vette was stock, but the ZL1 had at least an exhaust from what I could tell.
I would like to get some nice 2 piece rotors from FIGS for next year to see if that can shave a bit more off. I know there is still some left in this car.
Thanks! The logs are very beneficial for sure. I just need more data on times for warmer days to really make them interesting. I just hate racing in the heat and knowing the times won't be record breaking. Would be all for the science. LOL
the car does feel like it has more in it. the only thing that is holding us back from running in the mid 11's is our 60 foot times. I wish we could throw a small stall in the trans and see what we could really do.
I was just informed by a Corvette buddy of mine that I'm on Powerblocktv.com's site! Apparently my runs against the C7 were interesting enough!
