IMO it certainly was. Some pretty strong statements were made that were simply not true. BTW, I'm running with no secondary cats. I am not legal, and I know it.

No we have not filed for any certification as of yet, and even when we do it will take mos if not years to get a cert #.
FACT: You will pass the sniffer with our catted LTs. Yes it is true that if you have a stickler running your emissions testing station that you may not pass the visual inspection, but I've yet to hear of that happening anywhere but CA.
Under federal law it's illegal to tamper with the emissions equipment on any vehicle with less than 50k miles IIRC. That doesn't stop those that want to mod regardless of vehicle make/model. You know those big chunks of pavement that come out of nowhere on the highway and dent/take a chunk out of your stock cats...Sometimes hitting one of those is a blessing in disguise.

The only place I'd be weary of running LTs on any vehicle is CA, and we already have 3 preorders for the 63 LTs going to CA. So again, it's really up to the owner.

Thanks
Andy

This is how our C63 will run at MIR this Sunday on stock wheels with MT 265/40/18" DRs.

From the inside of the car, despite it lacking cats and being a 3" system until it connects to the factory catback, there is NO drone or resnonance whatsoever. It's only slightly louder inside than stock (except at WOT where it's moderately louder), on the outside volume is definitely increased--as you can tell from the vids the exhaust just sounds MEAN and AGGRESSIVE. :y

Even with the stock ECU in place the car will break the tires loose from a 70 roll. 70-130 is incredibly fast (again even with the stock ECU).

The work done to that C63 looks and sounds great Do you have any videos inside the car while it's being driven or any outside the car as it drives by?

That C63 sounds incredibly intimidating. I think it would even intimidate the American Muscle on the street. :P

James,
LOL, that's what the cop that blocked me in my driveway on my way home said last night. "I about **** when I saw that was a Mercedes making that noise, not a vette."

Thankfully he was a car guy.

One thing to keep in mind we'll be using 2.5" tubing (vs 3") for the IS-F so it will be significantly quieter. Again though inside the car even without cats there is no resonance or drone with the C63 exhaust, pretty incredible given the tubing diameter.

Workmanship is superb, first rate Maybe I'm showing my age, IMHO, it sounds like a truck. Too loud for me. Good thing you can tune it to the customer
