This is one of the simplest best mods ever. That seat belt noise was so freaking annoying.

It's the best couple of minutes you'll ever spend. Simple mod, but gotta make sure you hold the button down for an adequate amount of time.

On this topic, what's with the chime that doesn't stop when we turn the car off? Like the sound the cars used to make when the key is in the ignition with the door open. Any way to get rid of it?? If we've already turned the car off, why on earth would it chime like that?

No way to get rid of it. I hate it too and I've tried to find a simple fix. There is none documented anywhere.

With car ON.. make sure the Trip-O-meter is set to ODO..

Turn off car...

Push the start button twice.. (Do Not press pedal)

As soon as the gauges begin cycling.
Press and hold the trip button for 10 mississippi’s... count them out, its fun!
On the 10th one, click and fasten your drivers seat belt.. still holding the trip button down..

A selection will appear in the ODO section that says "B-ON" or "B-OFF".
Press the trip button till it reads B-OFF....

Power off the car & You are done..

My wife has a 2013 IS 350 so I will try this. Is there any version of this for the 3IS by chance?
