Default Non-LED alternative for DRL

Hi Guys,
I've been wanting my DRL to be a bit whiter/non-yellow. I was contemplating going LED but I wasn't too keen about loosing my high beams and also from what I read, the LED's don't last too long, even with the new DRL modules that are out. So from my research, I came across the following: Mtec Cosmo Blue 9005 65W bulbs. I like the fact that they look a bit whiter and I still have functional high beams. Plus the great thing about the Mtec's are that they come with a lifetime warrantee...if they blow out, I just send them back in the original package plus $6 for shipping and I get a whole new set...not too shabby. Anyway, on with the pics...passenger side are the stock bulbs, driver side are the Mtec's:

That looks really good ...was it a PITA to install? Can you share what the cost was for those bulbs? Thanks much...

FYI: not sure if this applies here also but read this as you may need to get this due to the wattage of the bulbs?

I just turned mine off. I dislike DRLs on anything but bikes.

The Mtec's are rated at 65w vs 60w for the stock. I doubt very much that they will cause any harm to the stock harness. I did a lot of reading before I got these...actually they were a Christmas gift from my beautiful girlfriend...yeah, I'm a lucky guy who's gotta a sweetie who gives me car parts!!

My girl got them on Ebay...search for "mtec 9005" and look for the Cosmo Blue type. Make sure you don't get the ones that are 110w, get the 65w. Also, get it from a authorized Mtec dealer to get the lifetime warentee...Darshana S...

The highbeams match the low beam HID color very nicely ... and provide just as much usable lumination as the stock bulbs, something LED's can't do...Darshana S...
