if you going to use valet ask if you can park the car yourself and then keep the keys but still tip anyway. you know no one will be driving and its safer than self park

Yeah man, unless the guy with the lambo gives him a $100 and he needs to move it to make room. If you take care of the valets they will take care of you. Keep in mind, everytime you take the car out you will need to give the next guy the $ for the same privelage and it's worth throwing them a little extra everytime you get the keys. The $ talk and the valets will remember you and take good care of you. Trust me, the effort and the few extra $ are worth the piece of mind.

Give them $20 to keep it up front (but you risk the idiots with purses and sunglasses in shirts scratching it as they peer in the window) to avoid dings, or give them $20 to let YOU park it somewhere in the valet section away from everyone (i.e., tell the valet to get in your car, direct you and YOU park it)... I've done the latter...for $20, they'll likely do anything you want (it is Vegas).

Thanks everyone for the input.. I ended up taking the F

Parking:
I decided to scout the valet first before making a decision. It turns out that there was a long line of cars waiting to get valeted, so having the valet guy sit with me while I drive to the parking spot was out of the question. Also, apparently they do not park cars up front, so that was also a problem. So when the valet guy walked up to my car, I just asked him for the location of the self-park. I ended up finding a nice spot in the corner of the parking lot, not too far from the other cars so it doesn't stand out. Worked out well for me.

The drive:
This was almost as fun as the trip itself! The F feels really at home at highway speeds, and I was able to maneuver and pass slower traffic almost too easily. I opened it up a few times and the sound and feeling were intoxicating! It was very hard to keep the speed down because 75mph feels sooo slow in this car. I go to Vegas a lot, and this is the first time in my F. I actually noticed that other drivers are a bit intimidated because they are hesitant to try to pass me and they are quick to let me through.. ha ha. Usually they are very aggressive to block people from passing, but I guess this time there was nothing they could do about it.

The trip up had horrible traffic (Took me almost 7 hours!) But I still managed 22mpg. The way back was smooth sailing and I was up to 26mpg.

Awesome! Any pics during your excursion to Vegas? I think we need to do a Vegas meet again.
