Default Lifetime Transmission fluid?

Unless I missed read the schedule, I didn't see transmission fluid change on the maintenance schedule. Does Lexus have life-time trany fluids on all of its models?

One more thing, should I trust 100k-mile-life-long coolant?

TP.

That is correct. The 8 speed tranny uses a Toyota lifetime Auto Trans Fluid. This also applies to the newer 6 speed auto transmissions in the 2IS and 3GS. You the consumer still have the option to change it out at a regular interval if you wish, but Toyota/Lexus has engineered this tranny to run in this manner.

There's nothing on TIS about this. I've looked very hard for it, and there is nothing Lexus recommends for changing the ATF in the WS filled gearboxes.

Changing trany fluid after 100k miles may not help because the new fluid may casue *trany shock*. BMW has it and it's a crap shoot after 80k miles. For illustration, look at the fluids comparison after 40k miles from attached link(you can skip the write up). Since there's no life time warranty on the trany, I would definitely change mine @50k-interval.
