Any Other Dyno's????
I'm hopping on the dyno at the end of the month for a dyno meet. I'll post the number in SAE correction with the standard 5 smoothing. Seems from what I've seen they are all hitting around 333whp on a dynojet.
temperature matters a lot right when dynoing? You will see some dyno numbers from my car soon....doing some testing....
oh just wondering what gear did you guys dyno your car at? mine was at 6th gear on a dynojet but for some reason it made the chart look all squigly...the guy said it was because at 6th gear he was going to 170mph, but when he did a 5th gear run the chart looked alot smoother...I think we all know that the 6th gear is the correct ratio to dyno the car...but I wonder what other people did on their dynos...

Yea, temp does matter, but that's why you have the SAE correction, to correct for temp, humidity and barometic pressure.
As for dyno'ing, yes, 6th gear is the appropriate gear simply because that is the 1:1 gear on the IS-F. Here is a dyno of my bone stock IS-F and John Hennessey's bone stock IS-F, same dyno, different day...amazing the difference on the big end considering both cars were untouched...

Thanks for posting the graph HoustonT. Do you by chance have the run file weather data? Should consist of Temp, Pressure and Humidity that the dynojet was reading for the SAE correction.
I'd get mine dynoed in a heartbeat if I could find a place that'll do it close to my home/work. The one I used to go to is out of business. The other close dyno is using a dyno dynamics and the numbers are so low, it sucks (ie: IS350 was reading 230 or so on the dyno dynamics and 259 on the dynojet). Maybe you got a factory monster Peter... Maybe your tires are the PS2s which have less rotating mass by a few pounds than the RE050s which could also translate to more WHP. I bet if I stick the Volks on, I'd get an ever higher number!
Thanks for posting the updated graph HoustonT. I really don't know what to think of the differences in your car and the Hennessy one. With SAE correction their shouldn't be much of a difference so it may just be a case of one car making more power than the other based on a variety of things such as heat soak, tires, fan placement, fuel, mileage, etc.
Here is my IS350 dyno chart that I did not long ago where I got a new baseline before adding the Megan midpipe. 20F difference with the car being identical to the previous run but on different days. As you can see the car showed a small decrease in power even with the correction but nothing significant as the chart you posted which leads me to believe variances in the two cars are the biggest factor in your comparison.
