I agree, but be sure you have gap coverage with the lease so you don't get caught short if the car is totalled or stolen.

I would hope the Finance guy slaps you silly if you leased an IS-F without gap coverage!

How 'bout nothing down, $765 a month, 3 years, 30K miles a year, insurance and all maintenance (tires, too, when needed)? Gotta be dreamin', right? Pinch me!

I heard it was $900 monthly too, but I didn't know about any down payment?

BTW, GAP is included for free with all LFS leases.

...and if you must lease the this car, use the $8-$10k towards a MSD lease (so you get the money back at the end) and not as a down payment (where you can kiss that money goodbye). A down payment that large on a lease doesn't make any financial sense.

Good luck.

I agree. Putting as much as $8000 down on a lease as some have said is insane, at least for a $60K car it is. Why put anything down other than that 1st payment? It's not a Ferrari.

I agree as well, putting that much down for a lease is a waste...but what exactly is an "MSD" lease...don't think I have ever heard of it.

with a 4000 down payment, 1000 in fees, an MSRP of 61500 which is how most of them will be in the Southeast, an approx residual of 56% for 36 months, 10k miles per year, and 3 % sales tax (varies from state to state) you are looking right at 942 per month...

There are no deals on the IS-F for employees. The deal is you can get one.

MSD - multiple security deposit. you put the money down (multiple of your monthly payment up till 9), each one buys down a bit of your money factor.

i use MSD on all the leases i have had so far, works great. it doesn't make much sense to put so much money as down payment
