FiveAxis IS-F (merged threads)
WoW i agree with everyone about the economy - look at the c63 - an amazing, wooooping, whole 10 miles to the gallon prolly highway as well . . . the rs4 and m3 wont be avoiding the gas guzzler tax which in NY is like 2-3k . . . Lexus did the right thing, now its just up to the enthusiast how far hes willing to push the car with mods . . .
The old UZ engines are capable of 500HP NA and the 2UR-GSE is better than a UZ engine by several orders of magnitude.
I agree 500HP NA should be a walk in the park for the 2UR-GSE. 550 - 600HP NA shouldn't be that hard to achieve.
Another thing is that Lexus NEEDS to go racing with the IS-F to further bolster not only it's credibility, but bolster the credibility of the Lexus "F" program in general. Racing in ALMS would be perfect, and perhaps in the future competing at 24 hrs of Le Mans with an LF-A.
In race trim, the 2UR-GSE should easily be able to make 600+ HP NA.

Another hint of the power that will come from this project car is the tires; they're not just for looks (complementing the widebody) only. Tires both front and back are wider than the stock IS-F setup.
600HP from a naturally aspirated production 5.0L engine IS a big achievement.
And who says it won't meet any emissions standards? You seem to be extremely confident about that. If a screaming Ferrari somehow meets noise requirements, why won't this do the same? This is not some low-tech big block American V8 we're talking about.
If any engine can meet emissions and noise requirements when modified, it's this one.
This engine stock already has lower C02 emissions than the M3, RS4, or C63 (in Europe). It achieves a ULEV-II rating here in the States, again much better than it's competition.
