I agree about what you said about hoping for something cheaper and that fast cars are expensive. I think everyone is expecting a low $50K price for this car because that is what the polls indicate (most would only pay 50K-54K max for it).
I really like the styling of the RS4 and C63 AMG, but am not quite as excited by the IS-F styling, although I do like it.
I hope the price is closer to $50k than to $60K for a base IS-F. I'm not going to drop it from my test drive list, but I will not be putting down a deposit at a $60K base price.

No, I just think you were hoping for something as good as/better than than the competition for a lot cheaper.

p.s. IMO, the C63 is as over-styled as the IS-F. IMHO the only car in this segment that is aggressive yet still understated is the RS4, and they priced that more than just "a couple thousand" over the competition.
p.p.s pricing hasn't been released yet, all those 60k figures are just speculation. The NM limited Lexus is $68K. The driving school bit is about 5k with at least another 5k premium for the 'limited' status bit. I highly doubt the base MSRP of this car is going to be much more than $57,999.
