I still maintain it is a photoshop image, Lexus has done some before. It may be quite accurate however...as their photoshops have been...
The autoextremist article...I usually don't agree or care for their opinions, but they have some good points, including the idea of tying in the Lexus-F division with the GT2 racing...when is Team Lexus coming back with their IS 350 twin cars?

i also had a feeling they were gonna end up clearing the amber part of the taillights, now time to add more leds and create a design out of it thats similar to the LS. the question is if the taillights were interchangable would you want to do it? For some reason to me it's kind of like having a 3 series and sticking an m-badge on it.

Critics take note: it's running easily with a 911 and an M5, something which the IS350 can't do. Also go to www.edmunds.com/insideline and watch the spy video ... looking closely, you can see the test IS car remains pretty flat even during hard cornering, braking seems superb, and nose dive is minimal. And you can also hear a distinct V8 roar coming from the car .

Thing is if the IS-F can compete with the M5 which is not in the same car categorie (imo). One thing if and when the GS-F comes out what will Lexus use on the track to get similar results... because the GS-F to me would be the same as the M5 similar car categorie (imo).
One thing the new 997 run does 0 - 96 km/h anywhere between 3.7 - 5 seconds.
Hope the IS-F will be about 4.5 - 4.7 seconds, which would be nice, would be a couple (ms) off of the current M5 model 0 - 96 km/h timing which is like what 4.1 seconds?

I happen to find the exhaust pretty interesting looking, and I like it. Looks aggressive to me...Edmunds agrees (hmm):

No word yet on whether the IS-F 500 will keep the prototype's stacked quad tailpipes. We hope so.

Hideous is a strong word. Seems like a lot of people do like the exhausts, more so than hate them anyways. One thing is for sure, they are different, and it makes the IS-F stand out and grab attention.
