They are the gold version of the BBS RGR, but since TireRack doesn't have the gold ones, or 19" ones for that matter, listed you might have to import them from Japan or something.

On topic: I think that I smell a little of the old IS430 in all these "spy" shots of the same car. The car needs to shed weight, which isn't going to happen. Taking weight off is next to impossible.

Car and Driver had an interesting editorial a quite while back, it was either Bedard or Csere, about platform sharing and the effect of increasing the weight of the smaller cars built off the shared platform. I think the ISX50 really proves this theory in spades. Just keep stuffing more stuff onto an already bloated car and you get a pig. Now what we really need is the 4WD hybrid version of the V8 model and we can just roll that little porker over to the butchers shop.

The A3 3.2 S-line is a good example of the same thing at Audi.

The 350Z is a good example of it at Nissan.

The sound there is definitely a V8.

Making it a hybrid might be a mistake considdering the target audience.

Agreed on both points. Going with a hybrid V6 would also most likely yeild in an even heavier car than dropping the V8 in there.

v8 doesn't necessary means it's going to add a significant weight. Same thing used to happen in the rotary crowd. Everyone said that significant weight will be added in the front from 1.3tt to 5.7(sbc) and they were proven wrong when one of the owner took his car to the scale.

Don't forget about the possible C63 from Mercedes, 6.3L V8.
