3. It would be an IS 500, not 460. Its going to use the new 5.0 V-8 from the LS 600h, not the LS 460.

i am definitely looking forward to the is500, i think it's going to be the first and very best shot lexus has at bmw. would want to see hwo the car compares to the m3 and also the c55 and s4. lexus needs to execute this carefully, otherwise it's going to be one bitter first shot

It seems like the owner demographics for a car have a pretty big impact on insurance costs. Going from the IS300 to the IS350, my insurance actually went down about 6%. And the IS300 was about 10% more to insure than my S4 as well. I think the insurance companies know the IS300 has a bit more appeal (and is affordable) for the boy racer crowd.
