Default Center Dash Speaker Distortion Questions

Speaker sounds scratchy. I heard the center of the cone can come off causing issues, and it can be glued back on, but the center of the cone looks to be in place.
  1. Is it possible it's only partially dislodged?
  2. How do I get to it? Do I need to cut the mesh on top?
  3. Can the exposed wire be causing it?
  4. Suggestions for aftermarket replacement over OEM?

I just had this problem and the center plastic piece in the middle of the cone had become dislodged. I cut the mesh to remove it and problem solved.

Did the same for my ISF, carefully slice the mesh around the edge and remove the plastic cap toss it out and take some glue for that specific material (I can’t remember what I used) and glue the mesh back together. I was going to initially glue the cap in but others told me it came off after a while and I don’t feel like repeating the process over and over haha
As for the wire, as long as sound is good I would probably tape it carefully with electrical tape? Maybe someone more knowledgeable in wiring stuff can chime in but that’s what I would do.
