My dad passed recently and I'm searching for his first IS F. It's a 2008 Obsidian F (VIN: JTHBP262885004822) that I believe is in or near Round Lake Beach, IL and owned by "Scott". I'd like the owner to contact me.

I live very close to that area.

In my entire time of owing my car (black 08 vin ends in: 03889) I have seen only two black ones recently and they were all trashed out

Ugh.

Carfax shows it being serviced at a Grease Monkey (#174) on E Rollins Road in February and again in September. The manager has been great and has reached out to the person twice via email with no replies.
The registration was renewed July.
If nothing else, some current pics would be great.

 

Let's be honest - that'd be an unusual email to get, and probably triggered the "We've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty" red flags for the current owner. On the bright side you know:
1) It's on the road and hasn't been written off
2) It's being looked after
3) It's general location
4) It's being serviced (probably oil changes) every 6 months. You could show up in person, slip the manager a $20 and leave a card/postcard/letter for the current owner with the service manager in the next 2-3 months before it gets serviced again...
