2014 IS250C Oil Filter Housing Leak
Went to change the oil on our 2014 IS250C, and before removing the filter housing I noticed a small amount of oil at the bottom of the housing. I thought maybe I didn't tighten the housing properly at last oil change, so I paid particular attention to make sure it was tight this time. After putting the new filter cartridge in and refilling with oil, I noticed a small amount of oil had appeared at the same location on the filter housing. The o-ring on the housing was new, and I oiled the o-rings on the housing and cartridge before installing.
Any thoughts on why there would be a small leak at the filter housing?

lexus2x, i thought i also had a leak on my oil filter, come to find out it was dripping from the rear of the drivers side valve cover gasket. you should check there. when it drips it comes down onto the housing.

Also double check that it is not the timing cover leaking- There was a recall for this. Same issue on the 2IS models 250/350 sedans and convt.
Hopefully it is not as it is a very pricy repair. As stated by the previous member, could also only be the valve cover gasket.
