I searched the forum for this problem and didn't see anything like it.
After audio was working just fine on the way to the store, when I got back in the car, everything on the display appeared to be working fine except there was no sound coming from the speakers. It didn't matter what audio source I was using. When I turned the volume ****, nothing happened - not even on the top line of the display where it normally drops down and shows the volume level. I turned off the vehicle and back on with no change. Let it sit overnight and checked it again, and everything is back to normal. Has anyone experienced this kind of behavior before?
2010 IS350C (new to me in May 2022)

Is your phone connected to your
car stereo via Bluetooth ?
Did the malfunction go away
by itself?

Thanks for pointing me to the IS2 thread. I have not heard the popping sound, but other behavior sounds like what is described over there. I have checked and my rubber flaps are completely missing, so I have ordered a new set.

Posting an update:
I installed the new air vents in the trunk. Also determined that the woofer in the driver door was blown, so replaced that component in both doors with an aftermarket speaker. So far, so good!
