I’d been waiting for some “minor” repair work So I can purchase a 2010 IS250 for almost 3 weeks now. Each time I called for an update I was given a sorry excuse about why it wasn’t ready. I have no idea why I didn’t bring this question to Club Lexus weeks ago.. But the car had been in a rear end accident and was sold at an auction, the bumper was damaged( supposedly nothing else-per Carfax) when I test drove it, the dealership said the convertible wouldn’t work without the bumper.. Yet
they STILL have not replaced the bumper so I can test the hard top.
Now I am thinking the top probably never worked after the accident, which is how it ended up at an auction. I’d planned to get a Lexus PPI prior to purchasing.. do you know if bumper damage ( with no damage to the trunk) prohibits the top from going down? I am thinking about walking away...
