Default Setting roof to fast/med/slow?

I plugged Techstream into my IS350c and found that there were 3 settings for how fast the roof will retract: fast, medium, and slow. The default appears to be "fast." Anyone try the slow and medium settings, and how long it takes?

Would running the roof slower reduce wear?

Well, it would make sense that running the roof slower would put less wear. It's like the engine RPM of how low RPM would do less wear compared to high RPM.

If anything, you should set it to slow and record a video for us. I never knew such thing about this and that would be interesting.

From a DC motor heat dissipation profile, slow RPMs can increase heat induction into the motor. Medium or fast may not be the worst thing. If there are no motor failures, I wouldn't worry about slowing it down.

I was hoping someone would have tried it. I'm not about to risk bricking my sliding roof ECU with some knockoff TechStream .

PS - then Don't look at the options available in the HVAC system. Someone could really mess it up! lol
