Hi everyone, I’m soon to be an owner of a Lexus IS250c. I had a Silver IS250 AWD before, sold it to Mom when she moved into snow country.
Anyway, been lurking on the IS C forums for a while and reading up on the wind screen deflector. Does any one happen to know if the mesh is melted/fused into the plastic or pressed into a groove like screen doors for houses?
I’m tempted to buy a much cheaper one with some small holes and tears knowing I’ll replace the mesh after the tear grows, assuming it’s replaceable.
I bought a used windscreen 2 months ago on eBay.
you need to get the installation hardware which includes Headrest receiver, Front sleeves + screws and trim plugs. the part number is PT93353100-WS and it's about $80. I also saw the separate part number for plugs and receiver for about $60 which not includes sleeves. you better get the full hardware bag, otherwise, the windscreen won't stay in place without the sleeves. BTW I don't think mesh is replaceable.or at least it won't be an easy swap.

Bummer I was hoping the mesh might be stretched like they do with screen doors. Probably best not to gamble it, used definitely seems better then new. Dealer quoted me $600 new, yuck... I’d rather buy a card key with that extra money, ha ha
The socket setup in the installation instructions seemed like some extra attachments, I’m guessing a long Allen wasn’t handy.
