The only "maintenance" I do is to put rubber conditioner on the seals that are inbetween the roof sections. The only other maintenance that could be done is to lubricate the gears but Lexus doesn't say that it's necessary.

In a nutshell, since Lexus hasn't indicated that any maintenance is necessary, I wouldn't worry about it.
Can you please tell me what lubricant you used? I need to do the same thing. I don't want anything that is going to run down my windows every time it rains.

I have a 2010 IS 250 C with 30k miles on it.

About 4 months before warranty expired I got a rattle on the passenger side in the roof at the top of the window. Took it to the dealer who made some adjustments, its now 100% quiet.

He said it was a fairly common problem and easy to fix. Other than that its been just about flawless other than routine maintenance.

I just used White Lithium Grease on my gears and seats that were making that groaning noise. either than that, all is good here since 2009

My dealer said that it costs $1500 to fix - can you tell me which dealer you went to?

Thanks

HI,
When you applied the conditioner in between the roof section did you operate the roof to half open or ? Closed?
Thanks
