Hey all, I know there is a thread dedicated to top issues, but it appears to be inactive (I posted a question and havent gotten a response), so I thought maybe if I asked in a new thread someone mght see it and have an answer! Also, I read all of the posts/responses in the other thread and there doesnt seem to be an answer to this specific question....

I have an is350c and am having issues with the top. I scanned it, and if memory serves me it is a position sensor in the right hand package tray/trunk hinge that is the issue. I will rescan and verify. My question is this: can the sensor itself be replaced, or do I need to replace the whole mechanism just to replace the sensor? Thanks in advance for any help!

 

Same boat but LH package tray, 2010 IS350C. Had this one a bit over two years without issue. Have a B254C code now (Side Package Tray Switch L). Had a B265C (Lock in Side Package Tray Motor LH Circuit) a month ago that went away after re-lubricating the tracks.

What codes do you have? Maybe we can compare notes? Hopefully someone will give us some tips.
