New to you is all that matters, enjoy your Grey Wraith! Have you driven an IS 500 before? If not, can’t wait to hear your initial impressions. Congrats! 🤘🏽
I had an IS300 and IS350 before but haven’t driven an IS500
Yes it’s a used one from one of the member here when he sold it to a dealer. It’s new to me 😆 3250 miles.
Congrats again! I think it's been through a couple of dealers since I sold it last May. Between me and you, someone somewhere peeled off the 20% ceramic tint and mounted the front plate bracket that I protested mounting for so long!
Yours was officially the first IS 500 LE to hit the ground in Canada, and I took delivery on Dec 30, 2021.

Man, I wished that they would have left the tint alone. I love the power of this V8 but the suspension does feel soft to me even in sport + mode.

Yeah, and not to disrespect, because it's a phenomenal car, but it was the suspension that had me sell the car and order my LC 500. Other than that and the interior, it really is a nice car. Every time I see a current-shape IS on the road I look twice to see if it's a 500, because I'm so glad that Lexus makes it.
^^ I haven't driven an LC 500, but from what I read, it is more of a GT car also. I think an F car would be the type of car that would give the more aggressive suspension feel you are searching for. I assume you drove the LC and you like it?
Yeah I've spent many thousand miles behind the wheel of LCs, and I think my expectation from the IS 500 is that it'd drive like a four-door variant of that, and as a daily I handily prefer a four-door. The LC does drive brilliantly but I think it was moreso the interior quality (LC feels bespoke) and the suspension. I tracked my IS 500 once and the suspension calibration wasn't where I'd like it to be.
I'm curious what the launch edition owners think about Lexus now offering incognito in MY2024. I think I would be a little miffed.
Meh, I bought mine for the interior, and cause I knew what I was getting (supply concerns made it seem like picking a particular exterior and interior color combo would be difficult in 2022).
