I can’t blame you. The financials are hard to justify, then you have to deal with the BS from dealers. They’ll cheat you on the trade in AND the sale. Maybe you would’ve been luckier but I was recently reminded how much I loathe my local dealer. Lexus Carlsbad got 2 more Molten Pearls. I checked KBB last week and the trade in value of my car was 63-65k. So I ask the dealership what the trade would be… she gets my car info and she tells me they’ll give me 52k. LOL these guys are absolute jokers. There’s an excellent chance I never end up buying a car from them.
Hello Mac, I placed a $2k deposit at Lexus Escondido for Molten Pearls IS500. But not sure if I can get one finally.
You can try use CARMAX website to get a quote. Recentely used car price dropped a lot.

I hope you get it! Do you know if they are doing any dealer add ons this time around?
$2k windshield protection. Dealer doesn't promise me I can get one.....
As of Saturday the last of 3 Molten Pearl at Carlsbad/Escondido was unclaimed and they said I could claim it with a deposit. Dont know if its still available, but you might want to follow up with them why you weren't given that spot. FWIW I've basically given up, so I hope you get one. I love my USB and don't want to go through the hassle of buying another car. The hunt is fun though.

Thanks for your advice. Under current economic situation, I'm not eager to buy a new car. IS500 out of door would cost me $75K. And this car can not help people earn money rightnow, I loose $10k immediately out of the dealer.
^^ I hear what you are saying but is there really a good time to buy a car? They will also always depreciate, so my advice is if you like the car, can afford it, grab one. Life is short and no assurance how much time we have so live life to the fullest, again, providing you can afford it. It is a great car and a dying bread so grab one while you can...

I just called them out of curiosity.
The salesman I spoke to was nice enough, but tried to tell me that they do not have market adjustment, just some add-ons, alarm, windshield protection and door protection, for a small change of $4800.
You can get a full car PPF for $2500.
So yes, there is a mark-up and it is $5k.

Thanks so much for calling! Interesting, they used to show those add ons in the Price Details on their website. Now they're not. Tricky tricky. Sigh, add ons just like last year. On the naughty list they remain. At least they're consistent.

It's more beneficial to not show it. Gets much more clicks/calls/contacts if you show MSRP then add everything on after the initiation from the customer.

But no sale is a no sale, just time and opportunity waisted in the phone.
