Ya actually have two in there right now. They fit just fine without any real need to adjust driver’s seat (if we have our forward facing car seat behind the driver).

Best thing we did was give up on our Evenflo, Graco and Britax car seats and switch to the Diono 3-across car seats. So much easier to get the young ones plopped down and seat belts clipped.

 

Thanks for the info! We're expecting our first in the summer, and my general consensus from the internets is that car seats are fine in back of the 3IS, but it never hurts to get real first hand info.

 

Congrats !!! We just had our 2nd two days ago. Biggest thing is to get a car seat that has easy to use seat belts that don’t have clips that slide so loose in the seat belt straps that the clip gets turned 180 degrees the wrong way after inadvertently folding over itself relative to the seat belt strap.

If it’s hard to use the display model in a well lit store on a motionless stuffed animal, well, you and your better half are going to be having constant yellfests when it’s cold & raining outside and you’re awkwardly hunched over trying to get your baby safely seated while parallel parked on a busy road. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

 

i just put 2 in my rear seats for my 4 and 2 year old. Big Britax ones that go rear and forward facing. Both my boys are forward facing at this point at least. I’m 6’ and try and ride locked in, but even if I lean back they have plenty of room.

 

I don’t remember seeing one, but I’ll go check!

how did you install the vents or did the hood come with the vents? I ordered a hood, but received it with some damage during shipment. I have a replacement in route, but it will take a while…4-8 Weeks. I didn’t see a vented hood for the IS500 on their website, so I assume you installed it yourself…

 

the hood comes with vents there’s 2 different types for my model. the IS500 also has a different hood than my 350 does so they’re going to have to come out with one specifically for it with vents but i’m sure they’re still in the process of doing so. that’s horrible the hood was damaged during shipment i would be so pissed!
