I like the black chrome. Obviously, the gloss black is a better fit than bright chrome, and I guess re-doing the mirrors in black chrome may not be trivial.
Has anyone tried wrapping the mirrors in a tinted clear ppf almost like a window tint to try and achieve the black chrome look? I'm personally just going gloss black, but a little annoyed that the mirrors and rear IS500 badges weren't black chrome on these cars to match the side badges. I know this car is kind of a parts bin car made up of parts from other cars with a few bespoke items, but feels like they didn't quite finish the job with some of the obvious omissions.
Just picked mine up and the chrome really stands out on the caviar.
had the car re tined to xpel XR plus 20% all the way around.
had paint correction and ceramic coating done. has some pretty deep scratches they couldnt get out, so i may need a re paint in places. hopefully not.
of course the car got dirty just sitting over night
