Have only done two long highway trips - got just over 29mpg on the first 450 mile trip and second 270 mile trip averaged 27mpg (more mountain passes with 10-15mpg higher average speed than the first trip).

Regardless our cars make it very clear they don’t care about what kind of MPGs they’re giving us …
Is just me or does this bar graph really just look like it's giving the middle finger to fuel economy and gas prices?

Hopefully the gas prices are temporary, but the IS 500 is not

Tesla M3P would be cool! My current electric rates wouldn't be any cheaper than gas And, as others have said, V8 go vroom! Have you sat in a Supra? It's pretty small and hard to get in/out of if you're tall.

My range is about 300 miles on a full tank. I've averaged 20.1 mpg after 2500 miles.

Nothing compares to the V8. Here's a tip. Watch exhaust clips on YouTube of the new Supra, Z, IS350, Integra, Veloster, Stinger. Do this for about 20 minutes. Then watch an exhaust clip of a RC F. You won't want anything else after that.

I'm about 2200' above sea level and get ~24 mpg and fill up at 365 a tank; dummy light lit. I haven't pushed for more, yet. This is with minimal stop and go, not like in the city. pretty pleased with these numbers cause that's pretty close to what I was getting my '15 IS350. I think the most I got out of that was 385...so not much off.

^^ I also get a very slight difference in gas consumption from my 2015 IS 350 AWD, as with my 2017, 2019 and 2021! I think the the AWD vs RWD and 8 speed vs 6 speed are the contributing factor. To me, having this amazing engine and barely losing a few mpg (2L/100km at most) makes it so worth it

To put it in perspective for you, I just put a deposit down on an Ionic 5. If/when the IS500 comes in, I'm trading the Ionic in for it. That V8 is well worth the cost of gas.

Premium gas is up $1.50 ever since you know what. Most places here are already above $6 but Costco and few are still just below. My car averages 25 MPG and think that's great for a V-8 and a car that's this much fun.

I'm at 15.0 and I'm excited! Lol I usually hover at 14.5, but I do like 0.1% highway. Its all stop & go 4 mile trips to work and back.

This also doesn't help:

The shell stations are only $6.80 though, woo!!
