What did you drive before your 2022 IS 500 F SPORT Performance?
I'm curious, how many of you that bought or in the market for an 2022 IS 500 F SPORT Performance are current, previous or new to Lexus? What did you drive before and what made you interested in the 2022 IS 500 F SPORT Performance?

I've owned two Subarus, a WRX and then an STI, and for about a year had a C63 AMG. For the last few years, I've had a Jetta TDI. I've been new car shopping for 2, maybe 3 years trying to find the right car; something that is quick, looks good, but isn't made way too stiff at the last minute because the manufacturer wants to appeal to fans of the Nurburgring.
I considered an Evo X MR, VW Golf R, Audi S4 or RS3, Mercedes C43, BMW M240i, M340i or M2, or a Subaru WRX but stumbled on the IS500 and liked what I read about. I decided to bite the bullet and put a deposit down in April 2021.

I am getting an IS 500 but currently a Lexus owner (Own a 2021 IS 350 F Sport) - Moderators, not sure if you can edit but I inadvertently selected "IS F" when I should have voted "Current Lexus Owner" - sorry guys, didn't have my bi-focals on (lol)

I'm on my fifth V8 Lexus, and still also have my '09 LS 460 AWD. Previous daily drivers were a '10 460, an '04 LS 430 Ultra, and a '99 LS 400.
The other jalopies in my small collection are listed in my signature

Have had LX470, 14 GS350 f sport, currently wife/daughter has a 15 ES350.
I loved my GS350, wonderful daily/road car. I had driven an RCF and ISF, and loved them as test drives. When the is500 was announced I put my name on the list with the local dealer.

Previous vehicles chronologically:
2017 WRX (6-spd)
2020 Model 3 LR (dual-motor) w/ acceleration boost
Switched because I wanted an ISF but the infotainment is something I use everyday & it looks old in my profession but most importantly, I missed the sound. I went from a 6-spd WRX with a muffler delete to a Model 3 so there was a big change in everything. Do miss the no gas part as it saved me a lot of $$$ and the overall instant acceleration/torque.
Family had/has:
2007 LS460
2016 GX460
2020 LX570
2017 WRX (6-spd)
2020 Model 3 LR (dual-motor) w/ acceleration boost

I don't have this car yet but the last cars I've owned are:
2015 Lexus CT200h
2010 Toyota Prius
2009 Toyota Prius
Now that you know the answer to my security question I'm gonna have to take you out. JK of course.

2006 Mazda Speed 6 - excellent, loved it. A hoot to drive.
2012 Audi S4 - a B8 model - great car to drive, torque monster, but at 10k miles the car started to drink oil, and it got worse and worse. By 40k miles it was taking a quart of oil every 500 miles. Audi refused to help me. Traded the car in and will probably never buy another Audi.
2018 Genesis G80 5.0. Great car with one major flaw. No manual mode on the overall very good gearbox. They give you paddles, but they don't give you a way to keep the car in manual mode. Pathetic.
Wanted to get rid of it due to the dealer experience. In my area, the Hyundai network is like the worst. My daughters drive Subarus Crosstrek. The Subaru dealership runs circles around Hyundai. Not even close.
2022 IS 500 - my first Lexus. Wife has been driving Toyotas for the past 10 years. We love the brand. So I'm very comfortable moving to Lexus.

Welcome to the Lexus fam....what did you have prior to the Q50? What was it about the IS 500 F SPORT Performance that lured you in?

Idk if I'll win the argument of getting an IS 500, but if I did, it would be my third IS...
