Valved Exhaust Best 12 Volt Source Location

Hi all, searched but could not find anything on this. Looking for recommendations for the best spot to pickup a 12 volt source? Being in the rear, come up through the trunk and tap into either the trunk light or tuen signal source? Any suggestions?

I don't have the answer, but I read that a lot of folks tap into the power to the amplifier in the trunk. I'd like to think there is an alternate power source nearby as I also lean toward a valved exhaust but don't want to tie in to the amp wiring for that.

I admit to my ignorance on this topic, but what is a “valved exhaust” and how does it work? I’m not familiar. Is it just an electric valve that opens the system for more flow and more noise?
